If you are applying for or renewing your commercial driver’s license (CDL), you will need to have a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical performed by a licensed medical examiner included in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) National Registry. You can then submit the MEC to your employer and continue with the hiring process or review.
